Very Nice, Very Friendly Staff

We stayed here for 12 days cause of center location to see it all. Hardware store up the road for any small fix-its. If you had a long day playing tourist order pizza and they will deliver it to your RV

Very nice and clean!

We were only here for one night but would definitely stay here again!

They have a large facility with RV sites, look liked some small cabins to rent, restaurant, laundry mat and probably some other things we didn’t get a chance to see. Also had propane fill-up on site. It is conveniently located along the river north of town. The river has a walking trail which leads to the hot springs and town.

The hosts were super nice and easy to communicate with. They text you all the information after you make your reservation which was super helpful. The location is super clean and well maintained.

Perfect established campground

Williams Creek is just about the perfect spot if all dispersed sites are full, or if you’re more comfortable with established campsites with toilets and hosts.

We stayed here during stage 1 fore restrictions so we could build a campfire.

Hosts were very friendly and kept the facilities immaculate. Firewood available for purchase from them.

The views here are incredible. Near 360 view of peaks and a crystal clear stream. Some premium sites are near the stream.

It’s about 40 minutes to Pagosa Springs due to washboard roads, but the drive itself is worth it.

Camping just steps from downtown

Context is everything. This is a campground right at the edge of town, this is not a off-in-the-wilderness location. If you want to camp steps from top class restaurants and bars, you can't beat this place.

After four days on the road in very remote locations, our goal was to not cook or have to start the car even once and have a cheap place to stay in Telluride. Bingo. What a great facility. We got a great spot along the creek, deep in the trees where we could hang our hammocks, and close to the bridge into town. Showers and bathrooms were clean and safe to use in these days of COVID.

Only downside was the clumsy and time consuming process to reserve online. Well worth it.

Leave no trace.

Fun-Filled resort for all ages!!!

I seriously don't know where to start here!  This is a Costa Rican style resort filled with fun for the whole family!  60' rock wall, 60' free fall, zipline over the river, 18 hole disc golf, 2 huge fenced-in off leach dog parks, 1/2 mile of riverfront property on both sides, 2 sand bottom ponds with free stand up paddle boards, shuttles and tubes to rent to take you up river to tube back to the resort, white sand beach volleyball, trampoline, slip n slide into a catch pool next to the river, waterslide, launching waterslide, FIREWORKS every Saturday night in the spring/summer/fall, FIRE PEFORMERS Saturday nights (weather permitting), and live bands and DJs in the huge  riverside dance pavilion on Holliday weekends.  75 full hookup sites (soon to be 150) with daily, weekly, and monthly affordable pricing.  A few tent sites available.  SCHOOLIES WELCOME!!!!  FAMILY FUN ENCOURAGED!!! All of this in an area with so many amazing things to do within a 30 min drive….but you may not want to leave the resort because it's so much fun!!!!!

Nice open area by the creek

Kendall camping area is the first camping area on this dirt road, and it’s quite nice, very flat, right along the mineral creek! We parked here for a few nights and rode our motorcycle down to the trail head which is at South Fork Mineral Creek campground. There are several other free campsites along the dirt road before you reach the trail head. The trail goes to ice lake which is very beautiful! Close to 4 mile hike up & 4 mile down!

Also some neat waterfalls if you follow the south fork mineral creek roughly a mile up from south fork mineral creek campground.

Best so far

This BLM at San Juan National Forest is gorgeous! (Se pics) the spots are kinda leveled, the road to get there is a dirt road but not that bad (I have a converted sprinter full of sh$&@$ and I did it great) it is primitive so no hook ups, restrooms nor trash cans, so PLEASE Leave no Trace! Everything was super clean so I guess people is finally getting it. Te river passes right next to you and the views are amazing! There are a few trails next (like the Rainbow trail). Awesome place to stargaze!

Beautiful but Noisy

We had site #41, possibly the best in the campground, reserved for 3 nights. Due to the constant and all night long road noise from Hwy 550 we left after only one night…and I do use ear plugs. 5 stars for scenery and 1 star for lack of peace and quiet.

The most beautiful views

This is the most beautiful park I’ve ever camped at. We got a premium lake site and while it doesn’t have electricity or water at the sites, the views more than make up for any of the amenities you may get at other parks. Do yourself a favor and see it for yourself.

Bathrooms Far Away

This campground has a great location and if you are lucky enough to get a lakefront site, the view is wonderful! The pit toilets were very far from some camp sites, so be sure your flashlight batteries are working in case you need to take a hike to the pit toilet in the middle of the night.
