Not so good
Small RV park along Clear Creek in Golden, CO. are immaculate. Very convenient to historic Golden and tubing on Clear Creek was the highlight.
Generous sized sites with convenient hookups at this social site. Crowded and full when we were there but quiet, calm and respectful campers. Pretty lake with surrounding walking park is very nearby.
This campsite isn’t horrible. Plenty of sites to pick from in mainly wooded areas. Perfect for families or people camping in large groups.
Downside is that its heavily trafficked with ATV’s and also a shooting range near by where they’re firing round from 7am until 11pm - it was very irritating…
Although this is a free campsite, on a first come first serve basis, be prepared to show your fishing license. All state parks require some type of fee to utilize the parks. Good idea, and we were fortunate to have ours, but be forewarned.
Talked to someone on phone said it was $30.00 a night and had to be booked online and no same day bookings.
This campground is very close ( about a mile) from the famous garden of the gods natural monument. Tights are close. We heard traffic all night as our site backed up to the road.
The campground is well maintained and well managed, with a friendly and efficient campground host.
The campground is meant for campers (mostly tents, but can accommodate RVs). RVs are not supposed to run generators.
Site 9 looked to be phenomenal. Our site, 8, was unfortunately too…
Rocky Top is close to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, & Woodland Park. It has rv sites as well as a hotel and is located off I-24. Site #23 had full hookups and was a partially paved site, with a picnic table. Few trees are located within the rv park itself. Bathhouse was clean and required…
This is a peacefully quiet campground, which is good because the campground sites are close together. It is very conveniently located to enjoy the sites of Denver and surrounding areas or take in a concert at Red Rocks. We stayed for four days and never had any issues.
This is a rugged road not meant for cars as posted at signs saying 4 wheel drive high clearance vehicles required . Also recommend better than stock tires . I have a 3 inch lift and 34 inch off road tires . It’s a beautiful high elevation area almost 10k ft in elevation. Primitive spots which there…

Pretty, a little busy
Clean and we'll kept. Expensive but everything is near boulder. It's pretty much in the center of town, so highway noise. Showers are nice but you have to pay with quarters , so make sure you bring change. For the amount you pay it was disappointing you had to pay for shower. Not my fav place but…
Oe of my family's fav places, beautiful views, camping spots super far away from one another so awesome privacy, and completely free. Spots fill up quick on weekends, you can stay 14 days. No amenities so bring what ya need and shower prior.
This was our second time camping at Colorado campground. It seems to meet the needs of campers of all types from the biggest rigs to the tent campers, they can all find a home here. The size of the sites, especially on the outer ring, can't be beat. We like the natural beauty in the campground and…
