Golden Eagle Campground

Good location for seeing nearby natural wonders. Stayed 3 nights. Sites were close together. Surrounded by mountains.

We had the most amazing vacation camping at Golden Eagle. From the start, I was looking for a campsite and stumbled onto their website after failing to find anything in the national parks or really anywhere. I called them to book because we had 10 people traveling, and I wasn't sure about the size of each site. The ladies on the phone were so helpful. We booked 2 adjacent sites. When we arrived, it was more of the same thing; the people working in the office, the camp hosts that drove around the campsites, everyone was so friendly, informative, and helpful. They answered questions and explained everything perfectly. I highly recommend camping here. It's also located within driving distance to MANY Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs attractions. We visited Pikes Peak, Garden of the God's, Manitou, the Manotou Springs Cliff Dwelings, and Denver during our stay.

We’ve been here about three weeks now and we love it! The staff is super nice and you’re in nature a bit but close to everything like the grocery store etc. the spots need a bit of leveling and kind of get washed away when it rains but other than that, it’s pretty perfect in my mind. The little trail goes to a nice view and is great exercise. The little pond is peaceful as well.
