Beautiful site

This place has some of the nicest RV sites we have come across in a state park or any other park for that matter. We have a 30’ trailer and we were easily accommodated, plus each site has some to good tree coverage, a shade shelter, and a picnic table. Top it all off with concrete pancake flat sites and more separation with vegetation between sites than you will see just about anywhere, this place is great. This is not a gravel lot, nor a sea of RV’s within arms distance. Plus you can get electric and water at many sites and sewer at a few. Did I mention there is a walking distance beach!

Stopped here for a night on my way through to St.Louis. Great spots with fire ring and lots of open space between places. The road is a bit rough when you get in pass the 3rd site. RV and Tent friendly. No water or electric but excellent phone service.

Loud, smelly and way too much light pollution

We visited this campground because it was close to home. We had a birthday party there and camped the night. The tent sites we were in were walk in and it seemed good. The site was nice and had a fire pit and what not. Plenty of space for our tent. But as the night went on, we realized that there was a sewer treatment plant near by, the highway was too close and the light from the town was abundant. I woke up several times thinking morning had come only to find it was light pollution. I remember thinking it was eternal dawn with all the light. The smell was too much and the noise just made it that much more unenjoyable. We won't be returning.
