LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

We were lucky enough to snag one of the tent camping sites at Sunset Point, which had direct access to the lake and awesome views! It was great to be able to launch our paddle boards directly from out site and hang out on the shore during the day. The wind picked up in the afternoon but usually calmed down by 6pm or so. The location is great with only a short drive to Rocky Mountain NP and several awesome hikes in the Arapaho Bay Area. The towns of Gramby and Grand Lake offer plenty of amenities as well!! The campground is small with only ~25 sites, which helps keep traffic and noise down. There are two restrooms on site, each with two separate vault toilets. They were cleaned daily and in good condition for being pit toilets. We felt like we had plenty of room between sites and everyone was very friendly. We didn’t experience any major issues, but we were told from others that it can get loud on the weekends. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be coming back!
