Gorgeous
Stayed one night in mid may in a drive up site. Chilly, clear starry night. Tall trees. Close to town but quiet. Easy self book. And pay. View of mountain and plains. Bear boxes worked. Pit toilets, fine. Wish people would not use their generators. I wish they would make generators only allowed in…
Beautiful place to wake up
My time here was brief as I arrived just before dark and packed up fairly early, but overall it seemed like a pretty decent campground. I woke up to a lovely view and light snowfall. It was quite a peaceful place to stay.

Take Highway 36 west from Estes Park, CO. From Highway 36, turn left onto Bear Lake Road, which is near the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, and follow the signs to the campground. Take Highway 34 west from Estes Park, CO to Highway 36 via Deer Ridge Junction. From Highway 36, turn right onto Bear Lake Road, which is near the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, and follow the signs to the campground.__ Take Highway 34 east from Grand Lake, CO to Highway 36 via Deer Ridge Junction.
