Awesome scenery

We stayed at this campsite two nights and I enjoyed it more the longer I was there. The drive in was long but beautiful. It does not take reservations, but there were some free sites on the road in if you needed a back up option.

The host is super nice and is proud of the campground he has been taking care of for 5 years. The sites are spacious and although there are trees between, there is not a lot of privacy. It is a small campground with 12 sites, so that didn't bother us. There is a creek on one side and a small hill on the other for the kids to hike around. Bathrooms are clean, but did smell a little since it's so far out they probably don't get emptied as often. And there is no cell service, do you can truly get away!. Just up the road is a reservoir to check out.

Gear review: Carin subscription box. My family has been subscribing to this for almost a year and we're excited to win a gift certificate!! We receive fun outdoor gear that we typically wouldn't have on our list, for a great value. They have two options, monthly 25$ boxes and a $199 obsidian box for larger items. We received a therm-a-rest slacker hammock in an obsidian box which is perfect to take to this site with all the trees - or any site! It packs flat and is light enough to take backpacking, about a pound and a half for our double sized hammock. The Obsidian boxes are quaterly and the next one comes out in September - we can't wait! It is like Christmas for us!
