## Overview

 At an elevation of 9,813 feet, Geneva Park Campground offers cooler temperatures during the hottest of summer months. Along the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, this campground is near prime spots for wildlife viewing, scenic driving, landscape photography, hiking and accessing roads open to off-highway vehicles. 
## Recreation

 Mount Evans Wilderness is directly east of the campground and the Abyss Trailhead, sometimes referred to as the Scott Gomer Trail, is a short drive south of the campground. Burning Bear Trail, just 2 miles south of the campground, is a wonderful trail for hiking and horseback riding.
## Facilities

 Geneva park has 26 campsites to accommodate both RV and tent camping. Vault toilets, picnic tables and grills are provided. Parking aprons are dirt and the interior road may be rough and bumpy. 
## Natural Features

 The campground sits in a dense stand of lodgepole pine, which limits mountain views. Sites are nicely separated to provide privacy. The Geneva Creek flows past the campground entrance. Pikes Peak is about 67 miles south and is heralded as the easternmost mountain peak over 14,000 feet in the United States.

## Nearby Attractions

 The drive down Highway 126 from Pine Junction affords magnificent views of the valleys below. Pikes Peak can be seen in the distance and other prominent rock formations present themselves throughout the scenic drive. 
## Charges &amp; Cancellations

 Cancellations Individual Campsites: Cancellations up to 2 days before a reservation start date incur a $10.00 cancellation fee.\_\_ A visitor who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night\'s use fee including tax and applicable add-on for a campsite. Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee. No-Shows A no-show visitor is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Staff will hold a campsite until check-out time on the day following the arrival date. No-shows are assessed $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night\'s rate, taxes and applicable add-on for a campsite.\_\_\_\_ Refunds Visitors may submit a refund request through their Recreation.gov profile within 7 days of the end date of their reservation. Refunds will not be issued after the 7 days has ended. Refunds for debit or credit card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank or credit card used to pay. For check or cash purchases, Recreation.gov will mail a Treasury check for refunds of cash, check, or money order payments to the address associated with the reservation. Treasury check refunds may take up to 6-8 weeks to arrive.\_\_ In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team or facility manager will refund all fees and will attempt to notify you using the contact information within the Recreation.gov visitor profile.

Geneva Park Campground

This campsite is one of several on Guanella Pass. The national forest hires concessionaire to maintain this site. No personnel here. Reservations can be made at the USDA website. Many trails abound but most of them require a vehicle to drive to trailhead. Large campsites. Pit toilets. No amenities close by.

Secluded, wooded campsite at almost 10,000 feet elevation. National forest 

Ended up staying here due to another campground not working out, arrived in complete darkness and managed to snag one of two remaining sites. This place definitely fills up in the summer, however they do accept reservations. There are pit toilets and drinking water available - it’s a pretty standard USFS campground. I wish I would have had more time to spend exploring the area, it was really stunning!

Great Location

We camped down the road at the dispersed sites. Sites are numbered but there are a few fire pits not on numbered sites which is what we ended up with. The road gets rough and an AWD with some clearance is necessary once you get down the road a little ways. Despite how busy it was we landed a site that felt secluded and was only a short walk to the shelf lake th. The dispersed area does not have toilets or water but most sites are close to the creek so either bring water or a filter. 

Very Busy

Wow wow wow. The pine trees in this campground are unreal. You are truly surrounded by those tall swaying Colorado beauties when you stay here. They provide all the shade you could need which means the campground stays cool in the day which is nice. 

There is a nice little stream to lull you to sleep if the swaying sounds of the wind in the pines doesn’t do it for you. 

This campground is deceptively large with at least a couple dozen sites but I feel they are well spaced. 

Awesome for tent campers- not recommended for bigger trailers. Pop ups would be fine but roads can be rough and the campground has some tight turns. 

Hiking is beyond abundant with all of Guanella Pass at your fingertips!  

Guanella Pass Pines!

Happened upon this camp area after a failed attempt at another site. The views are incredible and there are tons of number sites. Most of the sites are spread out offering ample amounts of privacy. The road in was decent even after heavy rainfall. The only downside was an insane amount of biting flies so be prepared. Loved this place will definitely be back!

Geneva Park Campground 

The camp ground is great depending on your site. Some may be very difficult to use if you have a trailer or even a roof tent due to the driveways being washed out or very uneven. Otherwise it was nice and quiet and the camp host was great.

Forested Apline Campground

Great spot! Took my daughter for her 1st camping trip, the camp host was awesome, got us a space for a night and had a great time.
