Amazing place to come with the family. It's full on camping but you just don't have to bring a tent because a gorgeous bell tent is set up for you with two huge mattresses and a Buddy Heater to keep you warm at night. The place is gorgeous and completely secluded. When the sun goes down the sounds of cicadas and the rustling of the trees in the breeze is something you'll think of very often.
We've stayed in Sites #3, #4, & #5 and they are all great. Sites #1 & #2 are even more secluded but we've always come with a friend who's taken a site next to ours so we always book more than one site and want to be closer…
The two 'hosts' and owners of the site take meticulous care of this valley between two mountains you're in the middle of and it's the perfect place to get out and unplug.
There is very limited cell reception but you are about 15 minutes away from San Luis Obispo so you can always drive into town or take a quick hike up their trail.
You will be driving up a 2 mile unpaved road to get to this secluded site but a prius could make the drive. It's short enough to be 'fun' and long enough that you're 'done' once you get to the site. :)
