not to bad but resort feel

This is a Thousand trails camp ground. Its has a small (very small) lake. Good fishing for fun. The camp ground is broken up in 4 sections. the first has full hookups but is very small and tight (like will my slide hit you tights) the other one on the other side of the lake is bigger but has no…

SiteI stayed in the back area from the office on the other side of the lake.

Small, cute and quiet.

Being a new visitor to WA, we wanted to spend our first night in the middle of nowhere and this did it.

A bit of a climb for our truck camper so 4x4 was handy. There were some lower tree branches but easy to (delicately) pull to the side to get by. The road is 1 lane, gravel but nicely maintained.…

Nice location by the River.

Sites 1-4 are walk in, the rest are drive up. All sites are right on the riverbank. Gold panning is popular here. Quiet campground with the relaxing sound of the river.

Bidwell Canyon is the place to go

Out of all of the campgrounds around Lake Oroville and within the state park rec area by far Bidwell is THE best..it's clean, it has cell service plus wifi if you need it, pets are ok, 2 to 3 boat launches, spots to fish, great showers and bathrooms plus the park rangers that run this specific…

City campground

Nice picnic tables, standing wood BBQ, big trees, some trash, on the edge of a town. Camp host very nice. River has dried now. One of the best option around I5. Not the best camping experience but not the worst either.

Nice campground

Nice campground close to the water. Water levels are very low and the banks were muddy but we still had enjoyable time paddling. Vault toilets were well maintained. Only negative were the excessive amount of bees during the day. Our site was swarming and several of us were stung - it was manageable…

Great place for fishing

Last trip we caught 3 bass and 12 bluegills. This trip we caught a personal record size bass. Great place for fishing all day. Crowded on holiday weekends and a lot of people playing loud music. If you are okay with that they have a lot of sites right next to the water. The sites away from the…

Coyote Group Camp

• Large croup camp site with lots of flat places to pitch a tent. • Clean pit toilets. • 3x Bear food and 4x trash/recycling bins. • 2 (or 3?) water spigots • 4 big picnic tables • Some shade • Uneven terrain around sites and lots of fallen trees • Lots of parking, including triller/RV parking.…

Easy in and out

This was my first camp out spot ever. I called ahead and made sure they would be okay with me sleeping in my Outback. They said it would be okay as long as I had the gear to sleep outside in a tent as well. The place was quiet and we had no issues. I just suggest getting there early enough so you…

Beautiful with a lot of "catches"

The road up was brutal, definitely recommend 4x4. Took us about 40 minutes to get 3 miles on the dirt road that ascends the mountain. The campground itself was CLOSED due to hazardous trees (risk of them falling) so we just drove half a mile past woodchuck and camped in the woods near the road.…

1st camping trip

The campground was nice and the people were fantastic. Our site was a little small and a lot of people live there, but full hook-ups.

Nice little lake

It is a very nice, little campground. Sites were okay. Not spacious but not too tight either. The lake was warm and it can get a little breezy in the afternoon. Make sure to bring a kayak or SUP board to enjoy the lake. The only con was there were too many duck poop everywhere especially on the…

Not bad

Nice campground. As with most of California everything is dry. The lake is very low and a half mile walk from park to get to. The sites are surrounded by dry tall grass and spaced out nicely. It can be a little noisy with the close proximity to the road. But park is clean with lots of trees.
