Water 360 degrees

For a boat ramp camping site near town, this place is special. Remote from town but water 360 degrees. You can hear the ocean while looking at the towns across the water. I didn't use the facilities but location is awesome.

Nice on river rv park

Nice grassy sites facing the Klamath River, full hookups, river front are pull in also have some pull-thrus, plus in the back are some back-ins. Very friendly and attentive staff. We were close to the clubhouse so got good WiFi reception. Have bathrooms with showers, also a laundry, although one of…

Enjoyed our stay

We loved our site, it felt quite private, even though we were between two roads and right across from the bathrooms. We were able to fit a 5 man tent and a 2 man tent in the space, though they were closer together than I’d like. Beautiful campground, clean bathrooms. Bring quarters for the…

Camping near the Redwoods

Clean campground, our spot was near the play area, dog park and office. They have some area tucked into the redwoods. They have some farm animals! We really appreciated that they let us check in a little early!

Old and tired with surprisingly nice sites by the water

Some friends of ours stay here a couple of months each summer to fish and enjoy the ocean weather.

Despite new ownership supposedly going through a renovation process, this is a very old and tired looking rv park. You have to drive through permanent trailers and mobile homes to get to the over…

RVs and Tents

We stayed here on a Saturday night in mid August and had no problem getting a spot. We paid $28.50 (incl tax) with Passport America for full hookups, so expect to pay double that without the discount. They also offer Good Sam, AAA, and veteran discounts.

Showers were decent. Clean enough,…

Hidden Gem / Not For Everyone

This run down little campground is one of our favorites. It’s split into two sides: 1 side is the regular tightly packed RV park with full hookups and an age limitation of 20 years for your RV. Next to the RV park is a small cute mobile home community, as well as some rental units that were under…

Road Noise (but free!)

Turn off highway 199 at the Madrona River Access road, just 1/2 mile east of Grassy Flat Campground.

There are just 3 sites with picnic tables, fire pits and there is a bathroom. All sites are along the river. Though the river sound is nice, it is drowned out by the highway above, though it…

Cramped sites

I was so excited to be camping here. I wanted a campsite in Trinidad which would be central to all I wanted to do in the Redwoods. This campground seemed to check all my boxes, plus: CAMPING BY REDWOOD TREES!!! This was the clincher for me. There are a lot of redwood trees in the campground&…

Easy lication

I tried along the 101 corridor in the area to no avail. This location had several sites available, tent, and cabins, as well.

Great park with great people!

We had so much fun exploring the Redwoods from Kamp Klamath. It’s also an easy bike ride to the mouth of the Klamath River and the beach which is super cool. The staff here really makes the place. Joyce at the front desk was so welcoming and full of great info & intel and everyone you run into…

Loooooved this campground. There's a meadow area for RVS and a forested area for smaller rvs/vans and tents. Some tent sites have electrical outlets, all tent sites have a spigot. BIG bathrooms with flush toilets, hot coin showers, laundry room. Laundry room has a soap machine AND a change machine.…

Camp under the Redwoods with a view of the Pacific

I camped here many, many years ago. In fact, it was over two decades ago. We spent a night here as part of a road trip that took us up the Pacific Coast all the way to Seattle. I had just moved to California from the East Coast, and the sheer size of the country north of San Francisco (where I was…
