We visited Lake Levitte, back in June 2021. I would recommend a high clearance vehicle, ad there are some technical sections. If you watch your line, you can make it. This location has become too popular by many YouTube videos. When we arrived, there were at least 7 other groups there. …
We stayed here the last weekend of June and it was a really warm weekend. Friday was 82 at its highest so it was actually really comfortable since our site was shaded fairly well. Lake jenkinson is right across from our campsite so access was really easy! Saturday we walked over and set up our…

My daughter and I were on a road trip from Long Beach, CA to Long Beach, WA this April and visited with friends in nearby Murphys. They recommended Big Trees State Park, so we swung by to see if we could nab a spot to camp; sadly, the campground was still closed for maintenance—tree clearing,…

We loved the Coloma Campground. There were lots of amenities, group areas, large grass are by the river, lots of trails, cabins, a short walk across the bridge to the gold rush park and a great little restaurant for coffee and small plates.

We expected a bigger and cleaner area for kids to play in. Unfortunately, the pool area was not to expectations and had a foul smell. My son complained about green mold on the slide. The staff although are friendly and helpful.
Had just an amazing time out in Pinecrest. I have been here a couple times before but this was the first time with a travel trailer. On their website it did state there was water hookups unfortunately there was not. Me and the girlfriend rented a boat for half the price as the early bird special…
Sweet campground. Quiet and peaceful. There were several sites available on a Saturday night (Smokey skies from Sierra fires may have lessened the demand). Easy access sites. Some more private than others. But beautiful setting all around. Can walk 5 minutes to Silver Lake, and to the private…
We love how clean it is, and the staff is friendly. The surrounding areas are woodsy and our dogs love the dog park!
This place is really cool and easy to find! Great views
Weather isn’t to hot and very secluded.
Clean campground, friendly hosts, all the amenities you could need while enjoying time spent not too far away from the greater Sacramento area. Tons of trails nearby and perfect for boating and water sports! An all around win!
Great overall experience.
Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, bear box, and parking pad.
Sites are kept clean.
Staff is friendly.
Can’t beat the location.
Some of the bathrooms are in rough shape.
Some campsites are way too close together.
Pay to shower, and…
This campground is fantastic! Sure, you’re about an hour’s drive (with some entry station traffic) to Yosemite’s Tioga wilderness and Valley attractions, but driving three miles down the access road to the campground just adds to how special this place is.
It’s secluded, away from road noise…
Have stopped here a couple times as a rest stop on our way to Yosemite. Decided to camp for the night. Nice camp sites, right up the road from rainbow pools. Will be definitely camping here again. Oh and bring wasp traps. They swarmed us when I cooked breakfast. Overall, great little camp sites and…

Had a great time here. We had a spot a 20ft from the lake. It was a meteor shower night and it was amazing. I would recommend this place during the cooler months.
Lots of private sites; takes tents to big RVs. No cement or asphalt-all dirt. “Resort” is a bit of a stretch, this is no fancy “glamping.” Silver Lake, hiking, trails (tons!), kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming with ducks and geese, upper lakes to find. 8000 ft elev. some permanent loops with…
