Overnight stay

A little run down but my four year old did not care! Lots for kids to do. Pool, fishing pond , playground, hiking trails. We were there for one night during the week but it looks like they have additional activities on the weekend.

Tight squeeze

This park has two parts: most is across the street from the lake but some spots are lakeside. The lakeside spots are very tight together-and require backing in. If your neighbor has a slider you are wall to wall. Nice outdoor table overlooking the lake, nice outdoor patio and they have kayaks you…

True Dispersed Camping

My wife and I were going to camp here but she was a little spooked by the amount of bears we saw on the trail to the campsite. This area was also decimated by wild fire recently and a large percentage of the forest is charred. We ended up passing this site up, but it looks like it is a cool spot.…

Great views

Really beautiful campground that is first come, first served. The drive to it is pretty as well. The sites are all out in the open so it can get really windy and you can hear your neighbors if they are loud. The Dyrt’s info is all wrong also: there are no hookups of any kind, no WiFi, very little…

Perched on the edge of Stony Creek

If you drive past all the OHV-filled camps, you’ll eventually get to this little gem. No water or trash (though you have both at the sites back down the road), but the location is so perfect - you can hear the creek rushing, and the big groups are too far away to be bothersome. There’s limited…

Quiet, seals, deer and wildlife

We love this place. We've been here for 2 months now off and on. The site we are on is located between a marina and the Noyo River. It allows for easy access for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming and seals, sea lions and other wildlife. Last night a 6 point deer walked past our site. The rates…

Beach Bluff

I am a tent camper so rating this site is a bit hard.  If I had a van or camper the rating would be higher.

You are perched out in the open on a bluff above the ocean.  So the view and sunsets are epic.  But being on the bluff when the wind comes in, in a tent with no cover, it can be fierce. …

Beautiful lake view

Nice little rv park. They offer FREE canoe/paddle boating. Bathrooms are kept clean and mike, the owner is amazing. Real nice guy and very helpful. Only thing is the road along side of park. People speed way too fast on the corner

Beautiful campgrounds on the coast

We camped during the pandemic so the campground was first come first serve which worked out great for us as we arrived on a Friday afternoon and lucked out with a spot. There were only a handful left by 1:30pm so be sure to get there early especially if you want an oceanfront sure. Although we were…
