Perfect, right in the middle of vineyards.

This place is magical. We rode our bikes around the vineyards and enjoyed every single moment. Would come back next time for sure.

What's not to like?

Nice campground. Easy access to Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe. Sites clean and well maintained. Lots of campers, yet quiet. Only downfall is that it's popular. Off season best option.

Close to Napa

This park is close to downtown Napa and the wineries but feels like it’s out further. It has nice hiking with beautiful views of the vineyards and the city of Napa. The park itself, however, could use a little TLC. The restrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained but there are only four…

Beautiful, Quiet, Convenient

Idyllic campsites along a creek under the trees. Sites are close together but don’t feel crowded. Good spots for tents. Restrooms are individual, clean and better than usual for state parks. There is a swimming pool, although I didn’t use it. Close to a town, if you should need something. An easy…

Very small sites

Super close to everyone. Also weird how many Porta-podies right across every site. Lots of people. Kinda expensive.

All the Beauty of Tahoe with a fraction of the crowds

Fallen Leaf Lake Campground is a sweet spot to get away. It is just south of South Lake Tahoe, and generally won't be as crowded. Weekends get busy for sure. We have been several times and my 3 boys loved being near the mountains, out of the heat, and so close to an awesome body of water. …

Best of all worlds

I've taken my 3 kids a couple of times now, and it's such a great location along the Sonoma Coast. Not too many other areas that you can be deep into a wooded forest type area, then pop out on the cliffs over looking the vast Pacific Ocean. Great hiking, clean, and easy access to many other beach…

Quiet RV spot in downtown Napa

Most spots are pull throughs with full hookups. Trash and recycling pick up every couple of days. Short walk (~10-15mins) to get to restaurants and wineries downtown as well as the Napa Valley Vine Trail for running/cycling. The expo center is being used as a COVID testing center as well as a food…

Beautiful family campground

We stayed in the spur of the campground, the views to the front of us were amazing! Then right behind us there was an incredible never ending hill covered in ferns and tall trees, and grey fox dens because we had a gorgeous one visit our camp! We had a ton of shade and enough sun to warm up, it was…

I love a hot shower

Make sure you are prepared for the temperature swing. 89 in the day and down to 51 at night. I love a shower and they also have a pool open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pick a spot in the shade of possible. I really enjoyed this campground.

$5, Beautiful if people were responsible

People leave their trash everywhere. People let their dogs run lose, and were loud. I doubt most of these people even paid. Anyways beautiful place if people respected it. Drive was nice, most people do not have cell service. A lady flipped her quad and was life flighted out so.... my quiet weekend…

Perched on the edge of Stony Creek

If you drive past all the OHV-filled camps, you’ll eventually get to this little gem. No water or trash (though you have both at the sites back down the road), but the location is so perfect - you can hear the creek rushing, and the big groups are too far away to be bothersome. There’s limited…

Secluded, very basic, lovely

A long way down a dirt road to arrive. Fire pits + bbq grill + picnic table on each of the six or so sites, and a vault toilet at either end of the camp. I went in a Friday night in April and there was only one other couple there.
