We typically choose to stay in traditional camp grounds and haul in our own gear and pitch tents but this time we had permits to hike up Half Dome and chose to stay here due to the location of being able to park, sleep and wake up early to start our day hike.

This is great access to start the Mist Trail which is what route we took to hike up and it was nice to come back and be able to get a hot shower at the end of our long day and not sleep on the ground.

This place is no frills but provides the camping basics needed plus the pizza here in the village after the hike tasted amazing! (...but anything tastes good after a long hike)
