LAVA FIELDS

Let me start out by saying I am a volcano Junkie. It all started with Kilauea! So when I saw a fossil Falls I had to go investigate when I saw lava Fields. They knew that I would come across mounds of dinosaur bones I was mistaken. However this place is awesome! Scorching hot in the summer time! Multiple campsites available sparsely spaced very budget-friendly. Every campsite comes with a picnic table and a fire ring. There are a couple of squat toilet locations that do not flush. There is no running water at the campsite however there is a well close to the pay station. It is natural spring water and you can taste how clean it is I love how there is fresh water in the middle of the desert! However there is zero shade! Best time to come here would probably not be in the summertime. Loved it I will definitely be back!
