Stanislaus National Forest
__Brightman Campground is situated in a mixed conifer forest along the banks of the Stanislaus River. It is located 21 east of the Summit Ranger Station on Highway 108. There are two entrances to the campground and a total of 33 sites. The main road and parking pads are dirt. Restrooms are vault toilets. Each site has a table and metal fire ring. Potable water is not available. A fee is charged for extra vehicle parking. There is no designated trail down to the river.

Close to the Road
Right off highway 108 on Sonora Pass. There are two entrances to the campground. This is a first come first serve campground with a total of 33 sites. There are vault toilets, tables and fire rings at each site.

Quiet
All dirt campground along side a quick moving river. Not as crowded as some of the other campgrounds in the area but not particularly secluded either. Plenty of room for our pop-up and two large dogs.
