These are free campsites at a nice little rest area a few miles outside of Batesville AR. There is a creek off to one side of the camping area that used to be a popular swimming hole but has a local reputation of being pretty snakey. The campground is rarely used by campers. There are no showers but there are flush toilets and sinks in the rest area. There is no on site staff and the rest area is moderately busy. It’s a nice free choice for someone traveling through the Batesviile AR area. I have camped there numerous times.
6 primitive camping spots with picnic tables, grill and trash cans. The site has a men and women's restroom with flushing toilets and sinks and is handicap accessible. This is also the take out point from a 12 mile float from Camp Tahkodah, a 20 min. drive away.
It’s free camping , the restrooms and all the campsites are in the same area , every site has a hard top cover and fire place water hookups and electric , but my favorite part is swimming in salado creek , there is a rope swing . Only downfall is it’s right on the main highway so trucks get kinda loud at night sometimes
