Enjoy our comfortable RV and tent campsites as you relax in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Byrd’s Adventure Center offers spacious camping in a beautiful setting along the Mulberry River.

A variety of grassy and wooded campsites are available. Some sites have small shelters with picnic tables and campfire rings. In addition to our new Riverfront Restaurant (open weekly Friday-Sunday), we have more amenities than you’ll find in other Ozark campgrounds. These include a large heated shower house, a convenient on-site store with deli, stages, pavilions, an extensive trail network, two backcountry airstrips, rental cabins, plus floating and fishing on the pristine Mulberry River. All of this is located on our private 800-acre ORV park surrounded by the Ozark National Forest.

The Redding Campground is a beautiful setting for an outdoor getaway. It sits right next to the Wild and Scenic Mulberry River and is surrounded by forest. Redding offers up a rock canoe launch and river access which is handicap accessible. A nice bath house with flush toilets and warm showers, a well water system with spouts dispersed throughout the campground, and access to the Spy Rock and Ozark Highland Trail (OHT) is what makes Redding such a desirable place to spend the night, the weekend, or even a week. The Buffalo National River, located nearby was the first National River to be designated in the United States. The Buffalo River is 153 miles long. The lower 135 miles flow within the boundaries of an area managed by the National Park Service, where the stream is designated the Buffalo National River.Also, The Buffalo National River is a designated International Dark Sky Park, recognizing and protecting its exceptionally dark and starry skies.On the way to the beautiful outdoor area nearby with lots of exploring to do…Buffalo National River, canoeing, floating, zip lining, wilderness with miles of trails to hike or ride side by side, mountain bike, …….all await you ….UNPLUG to Recharge!

You may encounter wild elk and buffalo on one of these activities. One last thing, be sure and bring tick spray for you and your pet during the summer months.

Campground sits on 110 acre farm with mountain view and incredible stargazing. Only a few miles from the Buffalo national river (Erbie) and some of the best hiking trails in Arkansas. Water and Electric on 3 sites and tent camping at 2 sites. Bathroom and shower on site. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit/grill. Hiking, Waterfalls, Canoeing, Swimming, Caving and Horse Trails Within 5 miles. Parker-Hickman homestead, Thunder Canyon Falls, Hemmed In Hollow nearby as well. Convenience Store, JJs Bar and Grill, and Dollar General 8 miles away.

Dogwood Springs Campground

As of Oct 2021 - Haw Creek Falls—Located on Hwy 123, this newly designated Point of Interest will be accessible year-round. Removal of the gate across the low-water bridge and suspension of fees will be immediately implemented, and camping will still be allowed in designated campsites. A slow transition of amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts will be removed over time as they become unusable or unsafe. Trash services will be managed by the user as “pack it in, pack it out.” Active partner groups and volunteers are helping extend the life of current amenities, excluding trash services. Several volunteer workdays have been hosted at this site in the last several months, which have proven to be immensely beneficial to keeping this primitive area operational. Please note, this area is subject to flash flooding and visitors are responsible for monitoring conditions and taking precautionary measures. Removal of the gate does not indicate the area is always safe during changing weather conditions. Surrounded by a beautiful mature hardwood forest, this campground is located on a small mountain stream with picturesque falls, rocks, and a bluff. Big Piney Wild and Scenic River are nearby. There is an accessible trail to the Haw Creek Falls. Camping - 9 family units. Camping trailers are allowed but no special facilities are available. Access to the Ozark Highlands Trail. The recreation area is closed following the 3rd week of December and reopens the 3rd week of March. Please note that the campground is closed when heavy rain is forecast.
