We like this campground because it’s small and very shady. It has easy access to a trailhead from the campground or you can drive to the War Eagle trail at the front of the park.  You do have to drive to the visitors center but they sell ice & firewood and a few basic supplies. The pool seems to be permanently closed now so don’t count on that. In the spring you can float War Eagle creek. Overall, we found this to be a nice quiet campground to escape to during Covid. Close to home for us.
