The Wayside Oasis has been a hidden treasure in the middle of nowhere for decades. Originally named the Wayside Inn, the restaurant and RV park was visited by mostly lake visitors. As the Wayside became more known, the news of the excellent food and accommodations spread and the Wayside, although still remote, has become a favorite stop for lake visitors, hunters, ATVs and travelers alike.

Wayside Oasis  RV Park

The Wayside Oasis is in the middle of nowhere. I’m not kidding - pretty much the only place to stay between Alamo Lake and Wickenburg. With location being ever in their favor, they don’t have to try very hard to be appreciated out in the middle of the desert, but everyone at Alamo Lake raves about the food here. It’s straightforward bar food but they do it up right and being able to add a cold beer makes it that much better! Plus it’s nice to have access to laundry facilities after getting all stinky catching fish at the lake :)

Can’t be beat for miles and miles...

This place is really hard to miss the turn. Keep your eyes peeled for the signs. We stay out here yearly for the Poker Run. There are a large variety of different camp spots. They have full hookup spots and then dry camping. We camped there. It’s on a long dirt runway. Great place if you have side by side, quads, dirt bike or any off road vehicle. There is a bar and restaurants site with pretty decent food. Showers available for a fee and dump station also available for a fee. There is a store and on site laundry. 

Little Gem

Close to Alamo lake, not a smooth trip into this place, dirt road.  We met some awesome people here that stay throughout the winter. They took us on some great rides. The bar and restaurant is awesome with good food and great staff.  Bring everything with you, there isn't a store within 30 miles.
