Quiet secluded CG
Temple Bar CG is about 26 miles from hwy 93, paved all the way. CG has 71 sites but no fcfs, all have to be reserved or paid for online. No cell signal at CG but seems open wifi down at the marina store. I used my Starlink to get online. Sites have tables and a fire ring. Scattered water spigots and dumpsters. Couple flush toilet bldgs. CG host onsite. Very quiet and remote area of the Lake Mead park. The entrance station was not open and not sure if an entrance fee is being enforced. The NPS ranger station adjacent to CG was also not open. This CGs is one of the quietest I have ever experienced, 71 sites and like max of 7 sites taken. Wonder if the NPS is going to hand this CG mgmt over to the Marina like at cottonwood cove on NV side.

Remote and Quiet
Peaceful campground located above Lake Mead with oleander, eucalyptus, and olive trees in the landscape. Flush toilets and water spigots scattered around campground. Campsite pads are relatively short. This campground was probably built in the early 1970s, well before the advent of big rigs. Showers available down near marina and costs 25 cents for two minutes of hot water. However, it probably takes at least a minute and a half for the water to warm up if your the first one in. Laundromat available: $1.75 for wash, $1.25 for 50 minutes of drying time. Dump station near campground exit. $20/night/campsite. Senior rate is $10. Review written January 20, 2021.
