Quiet but busy

The trees here are very thin so you can see quite far. Many spots down this road so you can have your pick but you can see everyone. From our spot you can see 5 cars, and we are hundreds of yards apart. Otherwise it's very quiet.

Great location

Perfect for exploring the Grand Canyon for a few days. You can walk to the canyon rim or walk to shuttles that will take you anywhere in the park. Grocery store also within walking distance (10 min?). Wildlife wander through camp grounds. Some nearby trails are good for walking the dogs, just keep…

A beautiful place to be!

Great place to rest after a long canyon hike. I prefer remote camping in the Canyon, but if you are in this area it is a nice respite. Camp spots are a bit close, but they are covered which is a nice relief from the sun.

Easy to get to, lots of space, sites of all sizes! Make sure you go deep enough to see all the dispersed sites, there are plenty of them. Enough space in between to keep things private and its not a far hop to town if you need something.

Located close to south rim

I was able to make last minute reservations. Staff is great. Property is clean and well maintained. Showered $3 for 7 minutes and i felt very exposed- no locks on main door or shower area. Washer and dryer $5 each per load ($10 total for 1 load), restaurant with bar style food- had the pizza and it…

Free camping near GCNP

Free camping along the rode, we passed about 10 people before coming to a spot from GCNP. Camped next to the watch tower. Our spot was close to road so lacked toilet privacy, but the other spots were farther off the road. Perfect spot to camp and drive 5 minutes into GCNP.

  • zoomed in photo of nearest camper, couldn’t tell at night besides small light from fire.
  • watch tower on maps.

Dispersed camping outside Grand Canyon. Secluded.

This place was great. The road is right outside the GC south rim entrance. As others have said, you won't start seeing campsites until AFTER the stable. If I didn't know that, I would have called it a bust and turned around. We arrived on a Wednesday night and passed several cars/RV's before…

It Worked Out

I had planned on camping on FR 328, but I had also planned on arriving much earlier than I did! I passed by Bedrock City (old Flinstone theme park) and felt there was no option but to go in. I wasn’t too worried as it was a Sunday evening, but upon arriving at 328 it was completely full! I then…

Alone in the woods

Super easy to get to, just take the last left available before getting into GC on Moqui Dr. and drive all the way down past the stables and you will see sites open up, plenty to choose from. The first little bit of the road is clearly marked no camping. Picked a nice little secluded spot not very…

Right outside South Gate

Great dispersed sites. Probably at least 15 or so sites. Most have fire pits and plenty of space. Nothing extra special other than the fact that it’s free camping not even 5 minutes from the South Gate of Grand Canyon NP.

Great spot

Really nice spot big enough for 4-6 trucks. We got to hear coyotes all night. Pretty nippy that night. Right at the gate of the Grand Canyon. Had a few people come flying by since the road is right at the camp site but it wasn’t too bad.

Right off of Hwy 64. Very accommodating friendly host at Flintstone Bedrock City/ Raptor Ranch. Birds of prey demos twice a day. Had a pull through site, 50 Amp service with water. Dump station near the entrance.

At the bottom of the Grand Canyon

I stayed here in May on memorial day weekend.  It was extremely hot at the rim of the Grand canyon and cooler here.  The campground has two bunkhouses - one for men and one for women.  And I believe there are a couple of cabins available too.  They book up very quickly.  The campground has a store…

Great spot

Road was very easy to get down. The space we found was really great. It is set off the road quite a bit, lots of open space and 2 firepits with plenty of firewood everywhere. Highly recommend spot on this road
