We managed to get a 1st come 1st served spot. Beautiful camp ground and lake, very clean. The host and his wife were very helpful, will definitely go there again.
This spot is amazing! There were plenty of options when we drove up the road. We can see one other camper from our spot but we didn’t really hear anyone overnight. We did notice some trash around and will pick up what’s around us before we leave. If we lived closer we’d be out here all the time!
Nice weather. Very low occupancy. Serene and peaceful with activities for all ages. Hiking, fishing, exploring, wildlife.
I don’t pay for campgrounds too much but needed to for a night here.
Clean bathrooms, clean campground and excellent hosts make this place a winner. The river access also added to the positives of the spot.
My only complaint is that a handful of sites are where you park on the pavement and have…
Camped here for two nights in two different spots. Both were great, plenty of distance between me and other campers, quiet and peaceful. There were some motor bikes and ATV’s over the weekend but nothing crazy. Good free camping that is easy to access and peaceful!
The campground itself is ok. Fairly large sites, lots of trees. No electricity, but water spigots scattered around. Fort Tuthill County Park is huge with an incredible amount of activities: zip lines, adventure courses, equestrian courses, bike and hiking trails, etc. So the place offers a lot…
Great place for some free camping. Many different spots in the road and gorgeous scenery of Sedona. Bring lots of water and know that there are no bathrooms for a while. Would recommend. Road is rough, but not horrible.
We chose site 10 because it was close to the stream and shady . The hosts warned us about the hammer noise from a water pump close by. My daughter's wanted to be near the water.. we heard the noise,, but It didn't bother us. Good Mountain biking nearby. Just a heads up, Morman Lake is dry.
Very clean very upscale. Great amenities definitely do again
The best spots were hidden. I found this to be a strange spot as a woman. Very little prvacy. Several men walked by our site staring at our rig acting strange. When we pulled in we saw three men just sitting at their site staring at women. The road in was too bumpy with many rocks. Some of…
Was a quiet and respectful campground until my last night when I was truck camping (up at 4am to beat a snowstorm going back to Colorado) and the host double booked my site to tent campers after I had tried to go to sleep.
spread out, firewood available, showers until 6 for $4, toilets accessible!
Great views, west side closer to Sedona is a lot more rocky while east half is pretty easy. The location here is wrong and that's probably why there are bad reviews.... You can access off i17 by taking exit 320 and then driving down the forest road toward Sedona. Camping is only allowed in about…
definitely a more family friendly camping area! showers close at 6 and are $4 for 8 minutes. the front office closes around 6/7 so be sure to get your firewood before hand!!! quiet, spaced out, beautiful scenery.
Turning onto FS-222 is probably the worst part of the road that we experienced. Decent gravel with some slight washboard. There are practically infinite camping spots out here, big rigs included.
We had checked out two other sites in the Flagstaff area before landing here. We liked the selection…
