Best spot in Page

I really liked camping here and I felt safe being alone. There were rangers patrolling and people were overall respectful. If you don’t have 4wd I’d stick to the upper loop- go left right after the bathroom facilities. If you have 4wd and want to camp on the water, head straight after the bathrooms…

Lake Powell Camping

Such a nice camping area! Super easy to get stuck in the sand here so be prepared and walk your route before you try and drive it. Super fun for big groups and weekend trips!

Great Location, Tough Road

The proximity to the north rim is unrivaled. The road was endless washboard by our small Chevy van was fine. We came in at dark and were unable to find a spot with a Canyon view. Regardless, good and quiet place to camp for a night.

Easy spot

Great camping spot and so easy to get to. Nice dirt road. Don’t pay attention to the 4WD warning sign. You can get to many spots right off the road without it. We went maybe 1/4 mile off the highway and found a wide open field. Camper vans and RVs and 2 WD would be able to camp this

Beautiful!

I arrived on a Saturday at about 1230 and they were only about five or six spots open. All kinds of set ups, big rigs smaller, tens and pop-ups. It’s a beautiful place. A couple of the spots overlook the Colorado river otherwise, you can just walk over there and dip your feet in or go fishing!

Breath-Taking Beauty & a chilly swim....

The ride to this area is one of the most amazing....Vermillion Cliffs lives up to its name, indeed.  I arrived and found the camp fairly packed. but did grab a 'pull-thru' slot down below, right by restrooms.  Strong winds made making camp fun, but it was calm in the morning.  A dip in the Colorado…

  • Magnificent Vermillion Cliffs on the way into Lee's Ferry
  • A view from the campground.
  • Felt SO good and refreshing....

Great spot

Road was very bumpy but doable. This is not parking along a road, not sure where previous reviewer stayed. You go off the highway and then it’s like 9 miles or so down a rugged dirt road to the campsite. It will be just a bit past the wire pass trail parking lot. There’s a sign that says “stateline…

Sahara desert campground

Hot, sandy, windy, crappy beach. Not my idea of a lake front campground.

Very Nice!

Very nice campground! Perfect start before a river trip. I suggest getting there early because spots fill up quickly. There are two campsites that are overlooking the river which would be ideal.

Very Convenient

We arrived after dark in a 2wd Campervan. There are roads (trails) through the sand to the beach. Some are more solid than others we almost got stuck. Be careful in your selection on which path to take. The main restrooms at the entrance are nice and clean with sinks and flushable toilets. There…

Gigantic beach clusterfrak

If you like to hear the sound of OHVs and cheap gas gennys..this place is for you (it is designated as a OHV area, unfortunately I did not know beforehand). Bring your sand goggles. The big RV herd lines up on the edge. Windy sandstorms and zero shade. This is the real "Planet of the Apes in…

Primitive camping, but....oh the view!

There's 54 primitive sites. They did have some sites open on a Friday afternoon, Oct 2. We didn't know it was open until we drove past. There's a bathroom. Not sure if pit toilet or flush. No showers. No electricity. It seemed like you're on your own. Maybe the NPS drives through once in a while.…

Beach camping

You will not be alone at this beach but we thought it was well worth it! Visiting in October it was still plenty warm to swim during the day. Be careful of where you drive/park if you are not used to sand. We were camping out of a minivan and parked farther back from the water to make ensure we…

Was only going to stay the night- it turned into 2

My boyfriend and I are on a several month long road trip. This has been our favorite place we’ve stayed at so far in the whole 11 weeks on the road and out of all of our other road trips we’ve done separately. The bathrooms are a little far and there weren’t showers that I was aware of but the…

Love this place!

Beautiful campground in a spectacular setting. I camped for two nights and enjoyed hiking Paria Canyon and the trail on the Colorado River.
