5 Reviews of Kaibab Lake Recreation Site Kaibab Lake Campground
Awesome campsite!!!

Love this campsite. Beautiful view of the lake and mountain right by the campsite. Incredibly peaceful and serene. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely love this campground

We come here at least 3 times a year! We always reserve online a few months before and then don’t have to risk not finding an open spot when we arrive. We have our list of top rated sites and always pick them. Was a little warm this time but nothing that sitting in the shade couldn’t fix.

Beautiful campground / trout fishing

On this trip we got a little wet but got to watch some beautiful monsoon storms. The lake was really low this time of year. There bathrooms are always clean and there is water available. The town of Williams is 3 miles away.

Fun for everyone

Seasonal campground that has something for everyone. It has tent sites, camper sites and group sites. There is day use parking and an ampatheter for Ranger shows. You can take boats out on the lake for fishing. It’s a great place to ride bikes, beautiful area with some hills. Geocaching and even Pokémon hunting.

Tree covered, close to lake, quiet campsite

Kaibab Lake campground is a short drive from the Grand Canyon South Rim and adjacent to historical Williams, AZ. The sites were far enough apart that we didn’t feel on top of each other. The overhead canopy provided relief from the sun and added to the privacy of each site. Sites had a fire pit and table. Paths led to vault toilets. The lake had a boat launch and was in use with kayaks and canoes. The water level looked low but still plenty highbti have fun.

Nearby us Williams, AZ and Route 66. We had fun walking Main Street and looking at all the shops. The campsite also put us in a good position to get an early start to the Grand Canyon the next morning.

In nearby Seligman,AZ we found a Route 66 shield on the road nearby the airport. It was fun hunting for this.
