Davis Dam Camp is located just below Davis Dam on the Arizona side of the Colorado River. This is a picturesque area with excellent views of the dam, sunsets, and the surrounding mountains. This park accomodates both the day use, as well as the long-term visits, and even includes two cottages available for daily rental. Features include a 3-lane boat ramp, 157 full service hookups, 30 hookups with water and electricity, 5 restrooms with shower facilities, a laundry facility, dump station, group picnic area with ramada, a large open area for dry camping, and a day use area with 4 ramadas. A boat and RV storage facility is also available. For those with special needs there is an accessible fishing pier, accessible boat embarcation ramp, and 10 accessible ramada sites. Davis Dam Camp was built to house the workers who constructed Davis Dam. A few of the original camp buildings remain, although they have been altered. A local museum is adjacent to the park and an important petroglyph site is within the boundaries of the park.

We stayed 3 nights in the "no hookups" area. Clean sites, pretty views, close to the river's edge, very quiet, and cell phone service. However, none of the water spigots were turned on! We inquired at the office, and they stated it was due to "abuse." They suggested we fill our containers for 25¢ per gallon, near their laundromat. Noo thanks!! For $17 per night, they should at least provide plain old city tap water. We filled our containers at a vacant "hookup" site, but it was annoying and inconvenient! The park is quite large, so bring bicycles for exploring. Overall, a good camping experience…

Good place during midweek 

I stayed at this campground in March 2021. This is a perfect place for first time campers because it was near stores in case I got there and realized I’d forgotten something, and the bathrooms were very close and within walking distance of my campground. The campsites are right near the river and the views especially at sunset were absolutely beautiful. On the opposite side of the river within 5 minutes driving, there is a hiking trail that runs down the river and has little spots that take you down to picnic tables and the river if you want to swim. I highly highly recommend this camp site. 
The only reason I give 4 stars is because the campgrounds are very close together so if you’re looking for something more secluded and in nature, this campsite probably won’t be what you’re looking for. All campsites are first come first serve.

Davis Camp Weekend Getaway 

My husband and I stayed here with our dog and cat and had an amazing time. We stayed at the south beach area , dry camping, and we were the only people out there! It was very peaceful and safe. They have quarter operated showers and laundry on site as well. They offer a wide variety of ways to stay also. There are cabins, full hookup sites, long term sites and dry camping.
