Camped on the spit over the 4th of July. It was really packed with people, but a really great time! Very few amenities provided with the campground. It's one of my favorite places to camp, because I just love the view across Kachemak bay. The bathrooms are across the road and in my experiences are only occasionally maintained. There are tons of little gift shops on the spit and there is some great ice cream just up from the campground.
