This campsite is nestled in a grove of oak and pine trees where the Montauk Mining Company once operated. The property boasts unobstructed views across Northern California, with the Sutter Buttes, Mt. Diablo, Sierra Nevada, and Coastal Ranges in clear view.

Your journey with InTent Montauk begins by turning off the main road to our neighbor, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, and Rattlesnake Bar State Park. A private road cut into the mountain winds around the top of a gorge with unparalleled sweeping panoramic views of the region. This unpaved gravel and dirt road is passable for all vehicles, with areas available to pull over to enjoy the scenery.

Our resident "Camp Host" is a Bald Eagle that monitors the campsite activity from its lakefront nest. Keep on the lookout, you may get a glimpse of it soaring above.
